Camille Pendley is an independent multimedia journalist based in her native Atlanta. A writer, photographer, and videographer, she covers issues ranging from storm impacts to access to healthcare for national and local outlets like the Washington Post, The Guardian, VICE, Atlanta magazine, Creative Loafing, the Bitter Southerner, Georgia Health News, and the New York Times, among others. Her primary reporting focus is on social and criminal justice, state politics, and local government. 

Camille has received a grant from the Nation Institute for an investigative journalism project currently underway, and from the City of Atlanta Office of Cultural Affairs for a documentary she is directing about displacement in Atlanta. She received an Atlanta Press Club award of excellence for this piece profiling Atlantans' views immediately following the 2016 presidential election.
